Talk to a broker, if you want to

This step is optional and there is no obligation attached to it. Plenty of people run their numbers, learn what they needed to know, and never book anything. That is a perfectly good outcome.

Run the numbers first

A conversation is more useful once you have a scenario in front of you. The calculator is free, takes a couple of minutes, and nothing you enter leaves your browser.

What a broker can actually help with

A broker can sanity-check whether the rate in your scenario is realistic, explain how your lender is likely to calculate the penalty, flag costs an estimate does not include, and walk through what the process would involve. What they cannot do is make a penalty disappear.

You are not required to use ours

You can take your numbers to your own broker, call your lender directly, or do nothing. If you do speak with one of our partners and later complete a mortgage through them, MortgageSkip may receive a referral payment. That never changes what you pay, and it is explained in full on our disclaimer page.
